Mr Datta is an amazing consultant, I couldn’t possibly ever thank him enough, easy to talk to On meeting him I had suffered in tremendous pain for over a year, I was almost bedridden and could not walk without pain On meeting him he ordered an mri straight away and it turned out to be Necrosis which accounted for the severe pain He told me following the hip replacement all the pain will go, On 13th march 2025 I had a hip replacement at Sarum road hospital  Winchester    and on waking up the pain had absolutely gone !!!! I only had the surgery pain It’s now 6 weeks on and I feel amazing and have my quality of life back thanks to Mr Datta I could not recommend Mr Datta enough absolutely amazing So Mr Datta from the bottom of my heart Thank you So very much Also a mention to Laura so very helpful with always emailing me letters etc so thank you Laura very much If you are needing a hip or knee surgery please go to Mr Datta. You will not regret it Thank you massively again Amanda Lawrence

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.  Very pleased with the replacement left hip that Mr Datta carried out on 20th Dec 2024. I have experienced a speedy recovery, however my other hip has become painful.  I hope that I will be able to have my right hip replaced with Mr Datta in the near future.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.  December 2025 I had ,my third procedure, a hip replacement carried out by Mr Datta. In total he has provided me with two new replacement hips and a replacement knee. I have the upmost confidence in him. The three procedures have all been very successful and without complications. My return to normal living has been swift and straightforward.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.  I had a total knee replacement with Mr Datta. Before the operation I had great difficulty in walking and even had a walking stick. I was very nervous about having the operation but I needn’t have worried. Mr Datta talked about what he was going to do. I was completing exercises before and after the operation and Mr Datta said to me that what you put in, you get out. This is true and I’ve gone from strength to strength. When I was discharged from both Mr Datta and the physio, I said Thank You for giving me my life back.

I am delighted with the result , I am leading a active and busy life again pain free, walking 3 miles, kayaking, returning to Pilate, plus hope to sail my dinghy in 2 weeks. I was very anxious about the operation, but Mr Datta was very reassuring that every thing would be fine. A big thank you to Mr Datta and his team for  his professionalism, reassurance, who inspired confidence in me along my journey.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.  I had both my hips replaced by Mr Datta, the first in June 24 and the second in November 24. Both operations were very successful. Seven weeks after the first operation my wife and I travelled to Paris for the Olympic games,without that first hip replacement happening we couldn't have gone to France. On my second operation Mr Datta popped in to my room just before 0700 on a Saturday morning to see how I was, incredible. Nothing but admiration for the professionalism of Mr Datta and members of his team and staff at the Spire Hospital Southampton, Fantastic and thank you very much!😊
